Bei Bei (pronounced Bay Bay) is a very unusual little shih tzu; by that, we mean "little" literally as he is only about 5 or 6 lbs.!  usual little shih tzu; by that, we mean "little" literally as he is only about 5 or 6 lbs.!  "Bei Bei" means "precious treasure" in Chinese (shih tzus are thought to have originated in China). Bei Bei is about 8 years old and such a love, very sweet.  He would do well in a quiet home, with someone who has a warm lap and gentle voice.  He would love to be carried around and taken everywhere his human goes.  But that doesn't mean he wouldn't love a daily walk as well!  He is very well-mannered, gets along great with other dogs his size, but we would prefer that there be no children under the age of 12 and no large dogs in the home.  Bei Bei's adoption fee is $225 which includes all medical.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. 

We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
