Yes, that's his real name!  Wooly has been through some adventures in his life, and lately not good ones.  Wooly is a registered Service Animal through a local agency here in town but his owner recently passed and here he is, with us, looking for someone to serve again.  He is 5 to 6 years old, super sweet, social, loves kisses and hand shakes.  He may know more commands but unfortunately that history was lost with his owner's death.  We do know that he's a big pleaser and used to being with his person.  Not a good fit for someone who is not home much.  He would love a retired person who could enjoy daily walks and go for outings in the car. 

Wooly is a German Spitz, which is a larger version of a Pomeranian.  He weighs about 18 lbs.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
