Snow is a gorgeous American Eskimo Dog, who hasn't had the best of lives up until now.  Snow and his companions were kept by a hoarder (not of animals, but things) and left to their own devices in a bedroom, cooped up and living in filth and garbage.  In spite of that, Snow is a social, happy boy.  He's very wolf-like in appearance but is friendly and has lots of tail wags. He's very uncomfortable in new situations, as you can probably imagine.  Snow will need a special human to show him the ways of the world and help him learn to live in a more normal way.  Snow would be fine with another female dog comparable in size or larger.  Since he has not been around children, best not to apply if you have kids.  Snow is a Standard size Eskie, about 30 lbs., and is about 3 to 4 years old.

We are only looking for a breed-experienced home for this boy, so if you have owned or own an Eskie please submit your application.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
