2/17/17:  Coal is a 10 week old Pom-Chi (mostly Pom) who looks like a miniature black bear!.  Mom was  15 lb pom and dad was a 10 lb. pom-chi.  Coal came to us from a family who was not allowed to have pets in their home by their landlord.  He was in bad shape, hadn't been taken care of, filthy, etc.  Was in the back of a pick up in a crate, in the pouring rain when he was brought to us.  He has been with us for 2 weeks and has gained weight and is now happy and healthy, with his first shots and several wormings.  Coal's ideal home would be with someone who has the ability to deal with puppy energy, is home most of the time and can give him the proper exercise, socialization and training that he needs. No kids under 5 please. His adoption fee is $300 and his neuter must be prepaid at the vet of your choice at the time of adoption.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see menu under "adoption info" for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. 

We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
