Trixie's current owner is moving and cannot take her with her. Trixie is currently a ResQ dog but will be fostered by her owner until we can find the perfect home for here.
Here's what her owner has to say about her:
She has soft fluffy white hair with some apricot and weighs 10 lbs. She is about 7 1/2 years old.
I know you always give a warning about rescues not being house broken, but Trixie is completely house broken. She sleeps in a crate at night. She is definitely a velcro dog and is very loyal. She will not run off and follows me around the house. She can get jealous and can be cross with other dogs and growl at them. She would do best as the only dog in a house where someone is home during the day. She would be perfect for someone who is retired and wants company.
She just had her annual check up at Care Animal Clinic and all of her vaccinations are up to date. She has been on heart worm pills and flea and tick preventative and she is in excellent health with clean teeth. She is spade and has a chip. She enjoys walking on a leash.
She does alarm bark if she hears someone near the house or if someone knocks on the door. She will occasionally alarm bark if she hears someone on TV knock or ring a door bell.
She is a loving dog and tries very hard to please. She has rather large ears, so she is not a perfect little Maltese in appearance.
Trixie can become nervous when she feels threatened and would do better in a home without children. Trixie's adoption fee is $100.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY. NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
