Cassie was adopted by a local retired couple who were ready for another companion after their last lived to a ripe old age. Cassie is well loved and has found a special forever home. Here's what her new mom has to say:

Cassie is a wonderful, 9 lb., Toy Fox Terrier mix that was given up by her owners to a local shelter because she and her buddy chased horses. They were kept outside all the time and it shows - she sooo wants human contact and affection.
She's 18 mos. old, very mellow and quiet, not high energy at all. She is a little lovebug and wants to be in your lap. She's small, so that makes it nice. She has great housemanners and is housetrained. She's a sturdy little dog, not fragile, walks well on leash, and would probably be ok with respectful kids over the age of 7. She does ok with other dogs, but would prefer to be an only child. She has a tendency to monopolize laps and growl and sometimes snap if another 4 legged friend wants to try and share. She won't actually bite, but just wants to let it be known that she's the "queen".

Just wanted you to know we are so happy with Cassie
- and she is doing better by the day! Yesterday when you left she
cried for the rest of the day - but we tried to entertain her and
succeeded fairly well. She slept with me all night - was a bit
restless at the start but crawled up beside me and slept all night long.
We haven't had any potty problems and she is eating good.
