A SWEET, PUREBRED BOSTON WHO'D LIKE TO BE AN ONLY DOG

This 5 year old little girl would love to have a permanent home for once. She was found as a stray in Oregon, then was adopted where it was found out that she doesn't do well with cats, so was given up to our shelter here in Redding.
She has very nice markings with a spot right on the top of her neck, and brindle coloring on black.
She is a sweetheart and just wants someone to be with. She's ok with other dogs, but is a resource guarder, which means that if there are treats, chewies, or food around, she will go on the attack. She's fine with that with humans, just not dogs. Sometimes this is a result of being starved. She is also a bit overweight now and could stand to lose a pound or two. She's playful and happy, but has a bit of separation anxiety. I would too, if I had been shuffled back and forth like her!
No young kids, older teens ok.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog. Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal. We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.
Please read about our adoption policies and procedures before calling or emailing with questions. Many of your questions can be answered by reading our information. Keep in mind that the first step toward adoption is to fill out an application. Also, WE DO NOT SHIP!
