PUREBRED, PAPERED RAT TERRIER

Suzie has found the most perfect home on a 45 acre ranch in Grant's Pass, with the room that she needs and is used to. She is an only dog with a wonderful human mom who will lavish attention on her. Here's what Carolyn has to say about their first night home:
Dear Barbara:
Suzie is a wonderful standard rat terrier whose elderly owner could no longer care for her.` She has been well taken care of all of her 3 years, and is well socialized to humans and dogs (not sure about cats, but most terriers are cat chasers unless raised with them). We will only consider an active home that will keep her busy with frequent walks, playtimes and other activities. Kids over 10 please.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog. Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal. We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.

Dear Barbara:
I wanted to let you and Janie know
that we are home safe and doing fine. The trip down was more nerve racking than
the trip home, and it was worth it. As we left Janie's there were some soft
groans from the crate on the bumpy road, but I looked over as we hit the
pavement and she was already asleep and pretty much stayed that way for the rest
of the drive. I came straight here and after a meal and a couple walks and some
frantic fetch games, we settled down on the big dog bed on the floor to watch
some TV and we found the "off switch". There have been no accidents in the house
and she is laying calmly on her bed as I write. She's pretty intimidated by the
horses but that's better than feeling too confident. I am amazed at how fast she
is and she is certainly smart. She'll have me figured out in about 24 hours I
think. Thank you so much for helping her and me find each other. I think she'll
do very well here. We are already bonded, it's nice to have a little shadow
again. She's very different than my last two dogs, so I need to get myself up to
terrier speed. She's already walking better on
the leash this morning, not straining to get ahead but walking at my side. I am
so pleased. I'll send some pictures of us when I take my laptop to the library
and can use their wireless. She will
have a friend in my partner Charlie's dog whom will be coming for a visit in
about 3 weeks. We are going to have them meet outside the house to reduce the
territorial issues. Please tell Janie how much I appreciate being chosen to be
owned by Suzie. You've made us both very happy.
