Here's an update on Lacey:

Here's a picture of Lacey sleeping in her chair next to my mom.  She's doing well
for her first days home--very nervous if we leave the room, but otherwise relaxing
and enjoying all the new things to see and do.

Thanks again for rescuing her.  We're really enjoying having her with us.

Lacey is an adorable pommie with an exceptional personality.  She is sooo sweet and such a gentle soul.  She loves everybody she meets and the world is a wonderful place for her no matter what.  She's 8 years old but is only half way through her life.  She would love a human who could give her the life she now deserves after all she's been through.  Lacey was de-barked and a very poor job done of it.  Because of this, she wheezes when she gets excited.  This is just a condition that doesn't affect her in any other way.  Our vets pronouced her very healthy otherwise.  We're wondering if there is another kind, human soul out there who could give this girl a chance.  If you'd like more info about her please call Janie at 530-276-9364.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog.  Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal.  We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.
The adoption fees we require do not cover the medical expenses, let alone the daily cost of taking care of the dogs we hope to re-home. Additional expenses are out-of-pocket.
