Big Guy is a sweet loving little Beagle/doxie mix who would love a home of his own!  He is currently being fostered by a professional dog trainer and will be an awesome dog for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.  He's  happy, friendly, housetrained (isn't that awesome for a pup?), and for the most part, gets along well with large and small dogs, although he can be a bit growly and stand-offish when meeting dogs for the first time.  If he is adopted locally, he will come with a free session of training classes.  He is not used to having kids around so only older, considerate kids for this guy.

He came with his mama from an out of area shelter that was full to bursting and having to euthanize every day. He weighs about 9 lbs. now.  He's got the wrinkly face of a dachshund and the gorgeous red color.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog.  Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal.  We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.
The adoption fees we require do not cover the medical expenses, let alone the daily cost of taking care of the dogs we hope to re-home. Additional expenses are out-of-pocket.
