Sweet Pea is just like her name - the sweetest little 2 year old chihuahua we've ever seen.  This poor thing was abandoned and found in a crate under a bench in a parking lot.  It was the middle of summer and she would have died because the store owner wasn't usually there on Sundays.  This Sunday he happened to be, otherwise she wouldn't be here with us.  We think she was abandonded because she has a condition called dry eye, and as you can see from the pictures, she doesn't like bright lights.   This condition is manageable with inexpensive eye drops and doesn't affect her eyesight.  Sweet Pea will need someone who is home most of the time as she needs the drops 2 to 3 times in her eyes.  Otherwise she is healthy and happy!

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
