Stanley is the cutest, most lovable little dog who really, really wants a home with someone who will play with him a lot, love him and cuddle him, take him places and let him sleep on the bed.  He doesn't even care about eating - he could live with out that (he thinks) if he just had these other requirements met. 

Stan is ok with his own doggie pack but if he thinks his human needs protection from dogs he doesn't know, he doesn't hesitate to let them know with a growl.  We're not sure how he'd do around cats but we do know he doesn't care too much for kids.  We would prefer that he go to a home as a single dog, since he doesn't interact at all with the dogs in his foster home.  Also someone who is home most of the time and of course, no kids, even teenagers.  Stanley is not used to young people coming and going and having their friends in the home. 

Stan is big for the standard, taller and bigger than most Havanese but with the topline of the Havanese, hindquarters being higher.  His coat is curly right now - not sure how it will turn out if it grows out.  He could even be a Havachon (Havanese/Bichon).  But whatever he is, he is adorable, sweet and will make someone an excellent companion!  Stanley is about 18 mos. old.  P.S.:  his foster mom couldn't stop taking pics of him, he's so darn cute!  Stan weighs about 18 lbs.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
