Jessie is the cutest, most adorable Cairn mix girl with an absolutely winning personality!  She will make someone a fabulous lifelong companion.  We can't say enough good things about this 1 1/2 year old girl.  She is loving, playful, eager to please, calm, gentle, not hyper at all, but loves to go bye-bye, did we mention sweet as can be?  She is very puppy like in behavior and appearance, without the puppy behaviors like being desrtructive or chewing on things she shouldn't. 

Jessie does have some mild separation anxiety so would do best in a home with someone home most of the time, or at least with a doggie day care person/relative.  One problem she does have, is that if she is left alone in the yard she will try to escape because she wants to be with her people so much.  She can easily climb chain link so privacy fencing would be better for this girl.  She does know how to use the doggy door and will go outside with the other dogs, but prefers her human to go with her.

For those Cairn enthusiasts, Jessie is most like the Cairn in personality without some of the more negative terrier behaviors.  She has a gorgeous wiry red coat with golden highlights that needs minimal care. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
