Monkey is an adorable 7 lb. little Pomeranian who is an unusual black brindle in color.  He was found wandering the streets and picked up by  animal control - unfortunately, no one ever came to claim him.  But ResQ recognized the potential in this little guy and decided not to let him stay in the shelter one more day.  He's super sweet and friendly about 4 to 5 years old and very playful and energetic. He loves his squeaky toys and loves to play fetch.   Would do well with another small, submissive dog.  Daily exercise a must. He seems to love kids too.  Monkey would not be appropriate for a senior or elderly person as he has too much energy.  No large dogs please.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
