I bet you know how Smiley got his name!   One look at his pic and you'll see why..  Smiley is a typical Spitz, indenpendent, sometimes aloof, wary of strangers.  But once he know you're his bud, he will wag himself silly when he sees you.  Smiley is used to being an only dog right now;  would probably do ok with another dog his size or larger.  Being an energetic Spitz, he would love daily hikes/walks/runs.  Smiley is about 4 years old and weighs about 25 lbs. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
