Sweet William is just like his name, the sweetest, most gentle, kind 10 month old little boy you could know.  And after all he's been through, its a wonder he still has such a great disposition.  Poor William was attacked by a large dog and almost killed.  He was saved by the vets at the shelter but it was touch and go.  He had to have a tube down his throat for quite awhile.  The gash in his throat from where the other dog got him is still healing along with a couple of other wounds.  But he doesn't need to be on antibioticsw and even can wear a collar and leash.  William was a lucky boy and will make someone special, a lucky person.  He has lots of love to give.  Absolutely no large dogs for this boy.  He is naturally afraid of them.  Another small dog companion would be fine.  William would also do well with older, considerate kids.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
