Pearl is a super sweet, tiny 5 lb. 2 year old Chi mix who will do well in a quiet home with someone who is home most of the time.  She is very shy in new situations and will cower in the back of her crate if she is not comfortable coming out.  She will need patience but as you can see from her pictures her foster mom is doing a wonderful job with her. 

Here's what her foster mom says about her: "I'm so happy I took her to bond before her spay tomorrow because she really loves me. I've been treating her like a new baby (which she needs right now).  Hope someone really special adopts her because she deserves that. She is adorable. I hope you got her sitting up pictures! That was a fun surprise!  She is very sweet (except when a dog she doesn't know gets too close, then the wickedness comes out!) you just have to introduce slowly and it all works out."

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
