Starla needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
About Starla | |
|
|
Starla is an extra special little girl. She came to us with an eye injury and had to have her eye removed. But it hasn't dampened this girl's spirit - she is so lovey, so sweet and calm, and wags her tail for anyone who has a kind word for her. We didn't have to get this girl's attention for the camera. She was listening intently to a conversation between two of our volunteers just outside the room, and cocked her head from side to side. She is such a dear, someone will be lucky to have her. And the fact that she has only one eye won't cause her any problems. Right now she's still getting used to it, but as soon as the hair grows out no one will notice, least of all Starla, because by then she'll not even miss having two eyes. Plus we think it makes her extra adorable - she looks like she's winking! Starla is about 4 to 5 years old and 11 lbs. Her adoption fee is $100 to the perfect home.
As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY. NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY? CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.
In order to adopt one of these wonderful pups please see the side menu under adoption info.
