This very happy, very vibrant little girl is having a bad hair day!  But you would too, if you came from a puppy mill and your eyes were so matted with fur that you couldn''t even see... yes, that's what this poor girl has had to suffer.  Her fur was so matted that our volunteer who saved her and her daughter (Blossom) thought she was missing one eye.  But she is so happy to be out of that situation; she is now clean and healthy - ready to have her forever home. 

Lotus is about 4 years old and 7 lbs.  She is such a sweetheart, very friendly with everyone, typical shih tzu personality.  She will lay back in your arms like a baby and just melt while you talk to her.  Whoever adopts this little girl will be very lucky and have a wonderful companion for life.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
