These little babies came to us through unusual circumstances.  One of our contacts became aware of a backyard breeder who, during a drug raid, had a puppy that was stepped on and the leg was broken.in two places  The breeder was financially unable to take the puppy to the vet so our volunteer stepped in a and convinced them to give the puppies to rescue.  Tito is the perfect example of an applehead chihuahua, that cute little baby face and round head with the huge ears!  He and Pita are little pistols so be prepared for lots of puppy energy!  .   If you're interested you can find our online app at resqac.com under forms/apps.  As of 2/16, Pita and her brother are 12 weeks old and weigh a little over 2 lbs.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
