Sissy is a very sweet, 1 year old Piebald Doxie who came to us because her elderly owner could no longer care for her.  Sissy is housebroken and would do ok with older, polite kids.  She CANNOT be with another female dog, though.  She is female dog aggressive.  But a neutered male might be ok, depending on his personality.  Sissy is considered a tweenie, in between a mini and and a standard in size. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
