|
This is one of our puppy mill dogs, the first to be added for adoption. (see our fb page). Jenny is so shut down; she just lays or sits and is very quiet and calm. She does occasionally wag her tail. Jenny needs an extremely patient home with someone who can take training very slowly and appreciate every little bit of progress. These puppy mill dogs will most likely take months or years to make progress; they do not know human touch and love.
Jenny has little to no emotion right now, except for sadness - you can see it in her eyes. To her, the world is a painful place where you are in constant discomfort Jenny was pictured on our fb page with the ear canals that were totally swollen shut because of infection. Her uterus was so filled with scar tissue from past pregnancies that it had adhered to her colon and of course, she had a raging uterine infection.
Jenny is about 4 to 5 years old and is fully vetted and healthy now. We would prefer a home with Schnauzer experience and someone who has the time and patience to see this dog through. No children, large dogs, cats - no exceptions. Please only apply unless you plan on a life long committment with no reservations.
Please read the following carefully before applying:
YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS. PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please see side menu for an explanation.
As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY. NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY? CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.
