Toby is a special case.  He is only 1 year old but has never been given rules, boundaries and limitations so thinks that he is the boss.  He is very friendly and playful  but in certain situations throws a tizzy fit, like when he is getting groomed.  His elderly owners who surrendered him decided they wanted to travel but we think its because of his behavioral issues.  He will need training to understand that he is not the boss and that he can't get his own way all the time.  Other than that he is super loving.  Toby's adoption fee is $150 which includes neuter, microchip and vaccinaations.  Please call Janie Hopper at 530-276-9364 to discuss whether or not you might be a good match for Toby.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
