This is Chopper..  He's a Bug in a Rug (translation, Boston Terrier/Pug mix.  "Rug" is the how the English say blanket - lol)! He's a beautiful, brindle pug.  Chopper was used as a breeder in a puppy mill that was shut down in a neighboring county.  He and his mates were living in an outside pen covered in feces.  You can imagine what this was like for a pug who is prone to skin issues anyway.  Poor babies, they were so neglected.  Chopper weighs about 13 lbs., is 6 years old and has been fully vetted.  The dogs were tested for skin mites but all they were suffering from is bacterial skin infections which have been easily treated.  With care, they will have shiny, lush coats.  He is super sweet, affectionate and mellow.  Chopper's adoption fee is $250. Chopper has not been tested with kids or cats, but older, considerate kids over the age of 10 might be ok.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
