This is Gizmo .  He's a beautiful, brindle Bug!  Gizmo was used as a breeder in a puppy mill that was shut down in a neighboring county.  He and his mates were living in an outside pen covered in feces.  You can imagine what this was like for a pug who is prone to skin issues anyway.  Poor babies, they were so neglected.  Gizmo weighs about 17 lbs., is 4 years old and has been fully vetted.  The dogs were tested for skin mites but all they were suffering from is bacterial skin infections which have been easily treated.  With care, they will have shiny, lush coats.  He is super sweet, affectionate and mellow. Gizmo's adoption fee is $275. Gizmo has not been tested with kids or cats.  Older, considerate kids might be ok (over the age of 10). 

Please consider that Gizmo is not housetrained.  If your circumstances require that you be away from home most of the day, he is probably not the dog for you.  New dogs that require housetraining need someone who is home in order to do that.  He is not crate trained but even so, it would be cruel to crate a dog for 6 to 8 hours during the day anyway.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
