Sophie is a sweet-natured beagle/doxie mix who is about 1  year old.  Sophie had to be given up because her owners could no longer care for her.  She is a happy little thing who just wants to be loved.  Sophie lived with another female dog her age and also a lab.  She has a slightly longer body like the dachshund but definitely has the beagle head, eyes and coloring (lemon and white).  What a great combination!

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
