Chiquita is a 6 year old, 5 lb. maltipoo just waiting for her forever home!  She loves belly rubs, quiet time in a a lap, and walkies once in awhile.  Chikkie would be a great purse puppy.  She's alert, playful, social and happy.  She has been in the shelter for awhile before coming to us and so her fur isn't in the greatest shape.  But with time and care and regular face washing, she will be a beautiful white.  Chikkie would do best with someone who is home most of the time and is still able to take her for walks.  She gets along great with other dogs.  No children under 10 and no large dogs.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
