This little girl is quite changed from when we got her.  Zoey came to us with some sort of oil all over her.  Whatever it was, it took several baths to get out.  It caused her to be lethargic and sick.  Can you imagine that from looking at her pictures now?  It took about a week of constant care, good groceries and of course baths for her to get that awful stuff out of her system.  Poor little thing, but she is so happy now.  She shakes hands and is very loving.  She is about 2 years old, friendly, likes to bounce and play.  She is mildly food aggressive so would need to be fed separately from other animals.  She gets along with most dogs, best with another young, active dog, and would be fine with considerate children.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.
