Kai (Kye) is a very sweet, good-natured, 5 lb. little Pom-Yorkie X (maybe some long-haired chi in there, but looks very  Pommy) that ended up in a very overcrowded shelter.  Through no fault of his own, his owners did not come for him.  But we did!  He will make someone a fabulous companion!  He is such an adorable little fuzzball and look at those eyes, just pleading for someone to come for him.  He is about 2 to 3 years old, friendly with everyone, and gets along with most dogs.  He is currently in "preschool" in his foster home because he needs to learn to share with the other 4 legged companions (he doesn't like to share his toys or his human).  Kai's ideal home would be with someone who is able to spend time with him, can exercise him daily and provide a warm lap.  Kai's adoption fee is $200 and includes all medical.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see side menu for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. 

We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
