Peppy came with the name Puppy but it was so generic we decided to change it.  Every dog deserves a real name, not Dog or Puppy.  And he lives up to his name, he definitely has get up and go!   He's a beautiful chocolate and tan doxie, about 18 months to 2 years old and has been living homeless for most of his short life.  He was owned by a homeless person who could no longer take care of him and so ended up in the shelter.  He's been through some trouble in his life as you can see from the notches in his ears.  We're not sure how that happened but it probably hurt, however it did.  In spite of it all, he is happy go lucky, loves people and can't wait to have a real home and family.  Peppy gets along well with other dogs and would love a small dog playmate.  His adoption fee is $350 and includes all medical.  No kids under 8 years of age and no large dogs.  Please fill out our online application if you would like to be considered.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. 

We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match; please be advised that if you do fill out the application, you may not be suitable for the dog you are applying for OR you may not meet our adoption requirements.
