Sister is a very special little girl.  She is a yorkie/dachshund mix with lots of personality.  Very sweet, mellow and all so cuddly!  You can lay her on her back in your arms and she just melts.  

Unfortunately, all has not been well for Sissy.  Her human died and no one in the family volunteered to keep her so she ended up at a shelter.  We see this time and time again.  She needs a quiet home to call her own again, preferably with a retired person who has lots of love and a lap to give.  

Sissy is about 7 years old, 8 lbs., housetrained and knows how to use a doggy door.  She gets along with other dogs her size but is fearful of dogs larger than herself.  Cats probably ok but she hasn't been cat tested. She is fine with kids but would prefer a home without.  Her adoption fee of $150 includes all medical.

YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE, FENCED YARD TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS.  PARTIAL FENCING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please see menu under "adoption info" for an explanation.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. 

We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience.
