Oscar was adopted by a man who stated that even though there were alot of dachshunds up for rescue, he felt that since Oscar was older and had health issues, that he would adopt him. He came to adopt Oscar prepared - he'd already bought him beds, a leash and halter, toys and you name it. And this without even seeing him! Oscar is going to be spoiled and well taken care of! Thank god there are people like this in the world!
Oscar is a mellow, 6 year old mini doxie who has been given up to rescue because his owner could no longer care for him. He has a skin condition that requires periodic medication that is inexpensive. He is very loving and affectionate and deserves to have an owner that will recognize his qualities instead of discounting him because of his skin condition. If you think you can be that special person for this deserving, special needs dog, please contact us.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog. Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal. We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.

Good with Dogs
Special Needs: Oscar has a skin condition that requires medication that will be provided. He needs to be kept bathed and clean and may require medication off and on for the next several months. This medication is very inexpensive.
