Daisy is so happy in her new home!  Here's what her mom has to say (and check out the pics below of her and her new sister):
Barbara,
Just an update...  All is well.  Daisy is adjusting beautifully.  She's definitely more comfortable in her surroundings.  Her and Izzy have become tight buddies, playing and running in the grass.  We had family(& their dogs) over Easter Sunday and she did great.  Nothing seemed to spook her.  She doesn't bother the cats or the pig, but the chickens are nervous around her and start squawking and fluttering, which really peaks her interest.

Apparently she's a howler.  I had to go to the DDS on Tuesday.  After I walked out the garage door and left, Fred said she went to the door, waited, and when I didn't come back in, tilted backed head and let out 2 long howls!  I haven't heard it yet but have heard her bark, or should I say yap?
She snores like the devil, but  just love her to death.  I even think Fred has been taken by her a tad.  She's definitely going to make a wonderful family member.  I'm sending a couple of pictures.
I'll be in touch,
Paula

Daisy is an adorable 1.5 year old girl who was given up for adoption by her owner whose older dog did not like her.  We can't figure out why, because she is so sweet and likeable, but sometimes older dogs can be grumpy!  She is very submissive and just wants to be loved and love back.  She was not well taken care of, other than being fed, and has ear and eye infections that are being medicated.

Daisy has the rough coat of the Brussells Griffon, but the loving, playful spirit of the Boston.  She is a beautiful, blue brindle (shades of black, silver and white) with two white mittens in the front.  She is eager to learn and happy to please and is currently getting used to a leash and has started on her housetraining, with good results.

Daisy's ideal home would be with a family who was home most of the day and who also had another young dog to play with.  She seems to be a bit afraid of kids right now, although that could change as she becomes more confident and gets used to new situations and new people.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog.  Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal.  We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.

The adoption fees we require do not cover the medical expenses, let alone the daily cost of taking care of the dogs we hope to re-home. Additional expenses are out-of-pocket.

We are ALL volunteers; there are NO paid employees in our rescue. The adoption fee is used to help with veterinary care. All of the dogs in our care are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, are up to date on all vaccines, are heartworm tested and kept on year round heartworm prevention. If they have tested positive for heartworm - they will be treated. Any and all medical issues that our vets find or that arise while in foster care are treated.

WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS!

In order to adopt one of these wonderful pups you will be required to: Fill out an adoption application, provide a veterinary reference, agree to a telephone/email screening, have one of our representatives conduct a home visit, complete and sign an adoption contract, and pay an adoption fee.

Please read about our adoption policies and procedures before calling or emailing with questions.  Many of your questions can be answered by reading our information.  Keep in mind that the first step toward adoption is to fill out an application.  Also, WE DO NOT SHIP!
