UPDATE:Please see our listing "Tashi" to see how far these dogs have come!
Desperately seeking donations for dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Tulare County! These poor dogs are so sick right now, with various forms of parasites, bacterial pneumonia, kidney infections and severe ear infections (vet can't even see in the canal, they are so swollen).
Pilots and Paws volunteered to deliver them to us in Redding - What a great bunch of people to fly these poor helpless dogs around the country to start a new life. Our Executive Director, Janie Hopper, talked at length, to a volunteer that evacuated and moved 20,000 animals during the Ghustav hurricane, She has brought large number of animals all over the country. Janie is working on getting her to partner with us, and to get sponsors to pay for life saving air flights out of Lancaster and L.A. shelters. There is a horrible problem in that area!!! We'll be keeping everybody posted.
Please, if you can find it in your heart to help us save these babies, use our PayPal link to donate. Also, donations can be phoned in for ResQ to Millville Veterinary Clinic, 530-547-4457. Thank you!
Update: dogs were successfully flown in but are very, very sick. We think that there are 3 purebred Llasa Apsos, 2 poodles with tails, on llasa mix. They are extremely matted - their coats will probably come off in one big, huge mat, so they will all have to be stripped. These babies won't be available for adoption for awhile, while they recuperate. Once they do get well, we will post individual pictures and you can apply at that time so keep an eye on our website!
