MJay (aka Choco) is having the time of his life - here's what his new mom has to say:  Yes, Choco's name has been changed to M.Jay after Michael Jordan. He's Alia's favorite player of all time. In fact, she wanted to name her brother after him:) So far, this little puppy has the most amazing life and is such a good boy. We've just had our backyard planted with sod, so that's made access to the yard a bit difficult, but we're working around it. It's just difficult for him to have a change in his routine so early on with the potty training. Most importantly, he's the most AMAZING dog! True, we will have to work hard to get him trained to behave the way we expect, but overall his personality and temperament really impresses us. He's extremely social and loves everyone and everything. We've had him out on the kayak and he's even tried swimming in a friends pool. He loved the kayak! Swimming wasn't his favorite activity, but his response was still rather positive. Thank you so much for choosing us! I really believe you made the right choice, for we are giving him and will continue to give him a truly great life. We love him like crazy! I hope things are going well for you and that M.Jay's mom finds a great home too.

These poor babies were hours from being euthanized along with their mom in a central California shelter.  There are so many chihuahuas and chi mixes bing bred that there are not enough homes to go around.  The result is that these poor animals suffer.

CHOCO is a super friendly guy, loving and intelligent.  He's the one thatgenerally starts yelling when he sees his human friends because he loves the attention.  He isn't a guy you would want to leave on his own for any length of time - he seems to crave human contact.  He is also the biggest of the litter, weighing in at a hefty 4 lbs.  Chco is going to be an extremely handsome guy when he grows up, because his eyes are turning green!  With his chocolate coloring, and the green eyes, he'll really be a standout.

The ideal home for these pups would be with a family who was home most or all of the day, with another small dog to play with, and no young children under 5. 

These pups are paper/pad trained. They have also experienced the outdoors and love to roam in the backyard.  They are have shiny coats and are eating dry and canned puppy food. 

By the time they are adopted they will have had appropriate shots to date, 3 dewormings, medical check up, and flea treatment.  We expect each new adopter to prepay their spay/neuter at the vet of their choice, and provide documentation of this at the time of adoption.  Their adoption fee is $150.
