Old dogs have a lot of benefits, they have lots of spunk left but just the right amount of quiet left. Also, they don't chew up things, or need constant attention. They do however need love and companionship. Dutchess would have been euthanized the day we took her, in a high kill shelter here in REDDING.
No one would ever know she is 10 years old, her eyes are clear and bright, her hearing is excellent, she has had a good vet check up and except for neglect issues she is in good shape. Yorkies are a long lived breed, healthy and spunky in general. We do have her on eye ointment due to ulcerations and conjuctivitis that is temporary and minor. She has been getting medicated baths, and has all other diagnostic tests needed. She is a really cute little girl. She still has several healthy years . won't you consider adoption of a senior dog?
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY? CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.
In order to adopt one of these wonderful pups please see the side menu.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog. Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal. We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.
The adoption fees we require do not cover the medical expenses, let alone the daily cost of taking care of the dogs we hope to re-home. Additional expenses are out-of-pocket.
