Booker is just that - a dog who loves to book on down the road when he gets the chance!   He is highly active, only about a year old, and needs a highly active family or adopter.  He loves people and attention, so much so that if left alone he puts up a fuss.  He is a super loving little dog, around 12 lbs., and is healthy. 

He would love to be a jogging or hiking companion.  He is great around other dogs and in fact would definitely need a another doggie companion in the home.   He also will definitely need some obedience training because he is a 'door dasher" - if the front door is open he is out in a flash and has no fear of cars or other dangerous things.  He will make a wonderful companion for someone who is active and wants a responsive, active dog or for a stay at home family who would like a project dog for obedience training and/or agility.   He is very intelligent and will be responsive to training.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog.  Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal.  We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.
The adoption fees we require do not cover the medical expenses, let alone the daily cost of taking care of the dogs we hope to re-home. Additional expenses are out-of-pocket.
