Sandy is a wire haired doxie mix (not sure what the other part is) who came from an out of area shelter.  She had a severe skin condition (probably bacterial) that needed to be treated so she has been with us for about a month while healing.  Her skin is now almost healed except for her tail which may not regrow its hair.  She's still a youngster, about 1 year old, a happy little thing. 

Here's what her foster mom has to say:  She has now learned to play with toys.  She is basically house trained and her favorite past time is to be in someones lap.  She gets along well with other dogs and people.  Her main goal in life to to break the world record for cuddling.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test and preventative, wormings, and all other medical care needed to ensure a healthy dog.  Fees vary, based on the care required, age and needs of the animal.  We rely strictly on our adoption fees since we don't receive any outside funding.
The adoption fees we require do not cover the medical expenses, let alone the daily cost of taking care of the dogs we hope to re-home. Additional expenses are out-of-pocket.
