Rhea is the epitome of her name:  a Greek goddess whose attributes were motherly, caring and nurturing.  Our Rhea is a calm, loving, gentle girl who has recently raised a litter of puppies and is now ready to find her forever home.  She is about 11 mos. old, but has none of the common hyper, chewing on  everything, puppy characteristics.  She is a bit fearful in new situations and with new people, but soon is ready to be your best friend. 

She came with her litter of 10 day old puppies from an out of area shelter.  Both she and the puppies were very sick but after more than one trip to the vet, they all recovered nicely and now are healthy and happy.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
