Dinky is a super sweet 1 year old guy, only 5 lbs, who is pining for a home for the holidays!  He even wore his extra special christmas sweater for his photo shoot!  He loves everybody, although being the huge chihuahua that he is, sometimes feels he has to protect his humans from those other big, male dogs that might harm them!  He would do best in a home with another small dog who is around his age and playful.   He is ok with kids, but only older, considerate children please. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
