Zeke is an awesome apricot standard who came to us from an out of area shelter where he was found as a stray and no one came to claim him.  He's about 3 years old, extremely well-mannered and would be a great dog for a poodle enthusiast.  He's fabulous off leash, doesn't pull or drag on leash and just wants to be by your side.  He would be best suited to a stay at home mom or dad who has the time to devote to him.  He's still a young dog and is playful so another doggie companion would be a plus also.  He would do ok with a small dog, depending on the dog.  He doesn't seem to be interested at all in cats - he just ignores them.  He also has a habit of standing up and putting his front paws around your shoulders as if to give you a hug!

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL WE SHIP A DOG!  YOU MUST COME TO MEET THE DOG.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
