ROXIE HAS FOUND A WONDERFUL HOME WITH A GERMAN SHEPHERD FOR A DOGGIE COMPANION(HE LOVES SMALL DOGS) AND TWO VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE HUMANS WHO WILL BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT ENERGY AND LIFE SHE HAS!  Here's what her adoptive parents have to say:  Roxie is shaping up to be a real lovebug.  She is so lovey-dovey at home - sleeping with us, and giving us kisses.  Outside she is just as crazy as ever, pulling on leash, wanting to meet everyone in the world.  This dog will never be off-leash outside, that's for sure!  Thank god for the fenced in yard.

Yesterday, I took her to the pet store, where she licked everyone who allowed her to.
Then, I bought her a toy Santa which she squeaked until the Santa could squeak no more...

Ed and I are so inlove with her.  And Ed is even beginning to look like her as well.

Here's a girl for an energetic person or family. She loves to run and play, loves toys, loves other dogs, loves to play fetch, and the list goes on and on! She would also love to go on long hikes, or to the dog park once or twice a day. And in return for all these favors, she'll make you laugh and laugh with her antics!

As you can probably tell, Roxie would not be appropriate for an older person unless its a VERY active older person, or for an older, non-energetic doggie playmate. She should also have at least one human home for a part of the day. And we definitely feel she would need a doggie playmate - she loves to be in the company of other canines. We want to make the right match for her to ensure that she stays in her new home.

What does Roxie not love? Being locked up in a crate or in the backyard, so that she can't be next to her humans. Not getting out of the house all day to explore the world. A dog who doesn't respond to her antic advances. That's about all we can think of - in general, she's a pretty easy-going, happy adventurous little gal. Oh, and by the way, in case you're at all interested, her designer breed name is a "Brug".

2. If your preapp is approved, you will receive a call from a ResQ respresentative to discuss whether this animal is appropriate for your family.

Note: If you live locally, an appointment can be made for you to meet the animal. If all goes well, your references will be checked and a home visit will be scheduled.
If you live out of town, your references will be checked prior to making the trip to meet the animal and a home visit may be conducted.

3. If the home visit and/or references are approved and you have met and decided to adopt this animal, an adoption contract is signed and the animal is released into your care.
