Lily is a 5 month old pint sized ball of fire!  Watch out for this one, she's the typical chihuahua...  very protective of her owner/lap, fiercely loyal to one person, very barky, nervous in new situations and with new people.  But for those chihuahua lovers out there, this is the dog for you! 

She loves to be in a purse, will happily ride in the car on all those errands with you, and doesn't mind being petted or held by new people, as long as you are right there with her.  She prefers a quiet home, seems to do ok with older/considerate kids, and loves getting dressed up!  One other thing - she is very bossy and dominant with other dogs and would just a soon be an only child.  But for the other dog that's willing to put up with her tempermental ways (that's the foster mom's pug in the pic with her), she will happily lay on the couch with them.  As long as they know she's the boss!  Also, Lily prefers women to men - is somewhat scared of men and will bark at them.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
