Rocco is the most handsome, gorgeous boy!  And he has a great personality, was raised around young children (6 years old), cats and gets along great with other dogs.  He's a little nervous of men but soon warms up if they apprroach him in a slow, friendly manner.  He's 3 years old, and still has quite a bit of energy, so will need an active life style and hopefully, no one that is gone all the time for work and would love another dog his size to play with.

His previous owner could no longer afford his care so surrendered him  to ResQ.  Unfortunately, he was covered in fleas and hadn't had any vet care for awhile.  But all that's taken care of now, he's flea/worm free, has been to the vet, is heartworm negative and up to date on his distemper/parvo immunizations.  Now all he needs is that perfect home!

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
