Joy is a purebred, 6 year old, retired show champion who would love another retiree to hang out with!  She's got a great personality, very sweet, very loving, not hyper, but playful also.  Joy has had a full dental done (and had to have some teeth pulled) and now has a great appetite!  She''s healthy, loves to go bye bye in the car but will require a secure, fenced yard.  She would also love someone to be home most of the time.   She weighs about 10 lbs.  Joy would love to be an only dog or have another small dog as a companion - no large dogs please. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
