Tashi is an extraordinary little dog.  She is a calm, 3 year old Shih Apso with a great personality.  She's friendly and loves to play and go for walks.  She would like a quiet home with someone home most of the time.  She would prefer to be an only dog but will get along with other dogs if introduced slowly and in a proper manner.  Like the Lhasa Apso she is protective of her home and will be on alert to let you know when strangers come around.  Once she gets to know them, though, she's fine. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
