These little babies came to us through unusual circumstances. One of our contacts became aware of a backyard breeder who, during a drug raid, had a puppy that was stepped on and the leg was broken.in two places The breeder was financially unable to take the puppy to the vet so our volunteer stepped in a and convinced them to give the puppies to rescue. Pits, the little female, is doing great and her leg is healing well. We will be accepting applications for this little girl even though it will take awhile for her leg to heal. We want to ensure that she has a good home to go to when the time comes. If you're interested you can find our online app at resqac.com under forms/apps. As of 2/16, Pita and her brother are 12 weeks old and weigh a little over 2 lbs.
As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY. NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING. We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it. This application has been developed using over 25 years of experience. It helps the adopter and us to make only the beginning of a good match.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS TO HOMES WITH UNALTERED PETS...NO EXCEPTIONS! WHY? CLICK ON SPAY/NEUTER ON THE LEFT HAND MENU.
In order to adopt one of these wonderful pups please see the side menu under adoption info.
