Violet is a 1 to 2 year old Maltese girl who weighs about 9 lbs.  She is super sweet, playful, and a happy girl in general.  She is a bit shy at first, and is tentative when in new surroundings but soon gets over it.  It doesn't take her long to bond with "her" person.  Violet would prefer a quiet home, with someone who is home most of the time and who can take her with them in the car and on daily walks.  She likes to dress up or down, as you can see from her pics!  She gets along great with other dogs.  Violet does NOT like being in a crate.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
