Cookie is an adorable 8 year old, 22 lb. Bichon Frise mix (he's a bit overweight).  He has a wonderful, calm personality and would love a quiet home with someone who is home most of the time.  Cookie does have separation anxiety so will need some help and patience with this issue.  The following article may be of interest to those of you who are unfamiliar with this problem:  https://www.berkeleyhumane.org/files/galleries/Separation.pdf.  He is also partially deaf but is responding well to hand signals.  Cookie gets along well with other dogs and is very friendly and social with people.  Cookie is very loving and well mannered.  He is sporting a couple of different do's in his pictures - a very handsome guy no matter what.  He will make someone an awesome companion.  Cookie has had a full dental.  Cookie's adoption fee is $100 to the right home.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
