Maggie is an extremely sweet Shorkie (yorkie/shih tzu) who is 3 years old and weighs about 12 lbs.  She is very affectionate and loving and just wants to be by your side.  She is also active and will require daily walks and exercise.  She's a happy little dog and loved the attention of having her picture taken!  This little girl would benefit with a stay at home mom or dad who would like a great little companion to travel with or just take out around the neighborhood (weather permitting).  Maggie was surrendered to our rescue by her human who could no longer take care of and is reported to be housebroken. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
